PMT 10: Power Transformer: Operation, Maintenance And Testing
4-Day Class (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm)

The PT must satisfy certain design requirements that include accuracy of the turns ratio, small leakage reactance, small magnetising current, and minimal voltage drop. This training is targeted at Employees in power generation, transmission and industrial operations, and technically interested people who want to get a basic understanding of power transformer behaviour.

Who can Attend:

The course is addressed to engineers with beginning and intermediate levels of expertise and interested people who want to get a basic understanding of power transformer behaviour and Diagnostics.

Benefits:

This class will provide the basic skills which transformer maintenance and testing engineer/Technician should have including:

  • Transformer Routine Test
  • Transformer WRM
  • Turn Ratio
  • Winding Resistance test
  • No-load current test
  • Voltage Withstand
  • Test on Bushings
  • Short-Circuit Impedance
  • Principle of capacitance and Tangent Delta measurement
  • Polarity and Vector group check
  • Impedance voltage and Load Losses
